Live Art, 2019
This was a group project where we had the opportunity to create a live art piece on the USW Treforest campus. This could have been: an Event, an Experience, Performance Art, Happening, Participatory Art, Social-engaged Art or a Protest. The brief was that the piece "Needs to be designed with the publics experience at the fore. Therefore, you should create a piece with impact, that is striking, provocative, makes us think, and/or offers a meaningful experience.".
As a group we wanted to focus on the very pressing issue of climate change, specifically single use plastics and the meat industry. We held a workshop creating sustainable tie dye using natural ingredients, during the process we talked to the participants about how much they know about the impacts of climate change, I also create two zines about the impacts we have on the environment and what small steps we can all take do to reduces these.
