Facilitation
Placement in 2019/2020 at Gadly's learning curve, Aberdare. Working with two groups of adults with disabilities, focusing on supported decision making and independence of the clients during the session. Lots of different techniques were explored with the participants been at the centre of all the decisions made in and outside of the session. A person centred facilitation technique was used to support all of the participants and their individual needs that they brought to the sessions.
Placement 2018/2019 at Ty Greenfarm, Ely Cardiff. Working with families at the hostel aged from newborns- adults. The sessions focused on trying to reduce the isolation that can be felt by people while staying in hostels. Lots of techniques were explored with a constant change of participants a non directive approach was taken to allow the participants to not feel pressured to do anything and communicate with me as much as they wanted with the participants being the focus.
